Bassano del Grappa (20 min. by car)
The famous Ponte degli Alpini (Alpines bridge), the painter Jacopo da Ponte and the fine ceramics production are the symbols which identify it on an international level. The wooden bridge, designed by Andrea Palladio, the castle of Ezzelini, the civic museum and a number of frescoed palazzi make a jewel out of the town centre. Here the medieval heritage melts with the venetian architectural style within the three town walls marking the urban development since the town roman origin. It's cultural life is rich in events, performances and important exhibitions.

Castelfranco Veneto (20 min. by car)
Giorgione's native town has preserved, within its medieval walls, all the prestigeous character of an art town. The altarpiece by Giorgione in the Dome and the frieze of Casa Marta-Pellizzari are situated in the very heart of the town, as is the Teatro Accademico (Accademy Theatre) of the XVIII century. The pictoresque square stretching all around the castel walls is surrounded by frescoed palazzi. The Castel was built by the inhabitants of Treviso in the XII century to protect their own boundaries.

Cittadella (30 min. by car)
The magnificent walls surrounding the town, with no less than 32 towers, have reached us almost untouched and the walkway skirting the ditch offers an incomparable view of them. The origins of the town date back to 1220, when the city of Padua ordered the construction of these walls to protect its own territory, The town centre contains a number of real treasures: the Torre di Malta (Malta Tower), mentioned by Dante in the Divina Commedia, the ancient Palazzo Pretorio and the Teatro Sociale (Social Theatre), one of the few in Venetia to have been built in tiers.

Marostica (30 min. by car)
With a unique scenic effect, the line of the town walls reaches out towards the town centre from the imposing hill, connecting the Castello Superiore (Upper Castel) to the Castello Inferiore (Lower Castle). Born as a roman castrum, Marostica followed the same historical destiny as Bassano and its walled structure underwent a series of modifications. The lower Castle, built in the XII century, faces down on the main square, where a famous chess game is played with living characters moving on the large chess-board drawn on the square and wearing original medieval costumes. The Lower Castle is visitable and exposes the collection of original medieval costumes. The panoramic footpath, called sentiero dei Carmini, connecting the two strongholds allows visitors to fully enjoy the architectural and natural landscape offered by Marostica.
